Hey guys! My name’s Kim, and I’m a Korean-American hustler living in the DMV area (DC/MD/VA). I’m working as hard as possible all day, every day to build the life of my dreams. I’m currently getting my DMA (doctorate) in Piano Performance and a second Master’s in Musicology (aka music history). I’ve been in school for what seems like an eternity – I got my BM at Peabody then my Master’s at Juilliard – but hopefully I’ll be done with it all soon!
I also have an awesome cello-piano duo called the Ward-Kong Duo. By day, I teach piano at Johns Hopkins University, and by night, I blog full-time and work as a freelance social media consultant. For those of you interested, I have a second blog called, Nomtastic Foods! My man-friend (@scenicpath) and I started it a year ago, and we update 4 times a week so definitely take a looksie.
I’m usually super busy with school and work, but when I have down time I like gorging on delivery food and watching Netflix marathons. Why you ask? I can’t watch weekly TV shows because I’m too impatient, and commercial breaks annoy me. I wait until the entire season is available and watch it in one sitting because that’s obviously the sensible thing to do.
I’m also a crazy dog lady! I seriously wish I could adopt every single shelter dog, but maybe in another lifetime. I do have a pup though: an adorable maltese named Daisy – click here to follow her on instagram for cute pics. She’s the love of my life and puts a smile on my face, even after the worst of days.
I started Sensible Stylista back in 2011, and I’ve been going strong ever since. I pride myself on being a smart shopper who knows when to save and when to splurge. So, if you’re looking to live a glam life on a budget, make sure to follow along. I’ll be sharing all sorts of good stuff on here – think bargain finds, incredible deals, and much, MUCH more.
You don’t need to spend a fortune to look like a rockstar, and I’m going to show you how to make the most of your moolah.
