When it comes to styling my OOTD, makeup plays a crucial part. A lot of people like dramatic looks, but I prefer to keep things on the simpler side. For me that means having a dewy complexion with subtle contouring, combing my brows and filling them in naturally, applying eyeliner, mascara and then swiping on a pretty lippie to finish things off.
I don’t really do bright eyeshadows – I prefer neutral shades on my lids – but colorful lippies are an absolute must. For today’s FOTD (aka face of the day), I used Tempting Peach from BeYu’s Color Touch Lip Biggie line. It matches my girly pink frock beautifully, and the effects very natural – think your lips but better. It’s a lipstick, lip gloss and lip balm all in one so it goes on silky smooth and leaves your pout nicely hydrated. Simply twist the bottom for more product – no sharpener necessary.
For those of you unfamiliar with BeYu, they’re a fabulous luxury, European cosmetics brand that sells high-quality products for a fraction of the price. Their line of products help everyday women enhance their natural beauty, giving women like us the confidence to experiment on the regular. In addition to fabulous lippies, they also offer liners, shadows (in a wide variety of hues), mascaras, and more. Their products are super long-lasting, fragrance-free, and great for sensitive skin. They also don’t engage in animal testing of any kind [insert big smiley face here].
My personal favorite BeYu lippies are Tempting Peach (from their color touch collection) and Spicy Salsa (from their lipstick line). There are 17 different lipsticks ($14.99 each) and 6 lip biggies ($12.99 each) available so you’re definitely going to want to get your browse on. You can purchase them in-store at a Wegmans near you or online at Target!
Swatches for days (left to right): Color Touch in Tempting Peach, Color Touch in Glam Ruby, Color Touch in Wild Cherry, Volume Lipstick in Spicy Salsa, Volume Lipstick in Ruby Drop, and Volume Lipstick in Just Red. Which color do you guys like best? And do you prefer crayons to lipsticks? Make sure to leave me a comment and let me know.
Mixing lippies because I want to create my own signature shade! Layering Spicy Salsa on top of Tempting Peach for a deeper shade.
