I hope you guys got a kick out of that title because I sure did. Does the acronym GTL sound familiar? It stands for gym, tan, laundry, and it’s a phrase that was made popular by the cast of Jersey Shore. Now, I’ve only seen a couple of episodes, but the reason I used it in today’s title is because gym, laundry and N!CK’S Swedish-style Light Ice Cream is the ultimate combo – or maybe just gym & N!CK’S, ha – and I think you’ll agree once you’re done reading my post.
You guys know I’m all about self-betterment. I’m passionate about being the best version of myself, so I’m constantly looking for ways to level up. However, as much as I love hustling, health comes first because success means nothing if you’re dead. Taking care of your body is non-negotiable, and that means being mindful of your diet and sweating it out on the regular.
If you follow me on Instagram stories, you already know that I run 2 miles every day and do HIIT 5-6 times a week. Working out isn’t enough though. Eating clean is an absolute must as well, no ifs, ands, or buts. I mean, there’s a reason why people say abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym, which is why I search for healthy but delish noms on the regular – see “Top 10 Healthy Snacks That You Can Enjoy On The Go.”
I have a huge sweet tooth, and because of that eating clean can be quite brutal. Or so I thought. Ice cream is something I’ve always enjoyed, and “enjoyed” is the understatement of the year. N!CK’S Swedish-style Light Ice Cream is everything good in the world packed into a pint, and I’m so happy I got the first taste of this rich and creamy deliciousness.
It’s honestly shocking how few calories each pint has. Mint Chip is my all-time favorite flavor – like I could literally eat it every day for the rest of my life and be happy – so I was thrilled to discover their light version. The consistency’s soft, and the mint flavor is very prominent, which I love. There’s also a surprising amount of chocolate inside. Here are their other flavors for those of you interested: butter pecan, caramel cappuccino, chocolate, cookie dough chocolate swirl, peanut butter caramel swirl, salted caramel and vanilla bean.
I’ve tried their cookie dough chocolate swirl and peanut butter caramel swirl, and although both were delicious, mint chip reigns supreme in my book. I’m curious to hear what you guys think of light ice cream though. Have you had good experiences in the past or not so much? Which brands have you tried?
