If you’re looking to cure dry hair, you’ve come to the right place…er, post. I’ve partnered up with Hair Cuttery x Redken to tell you guys all about their new line, All Soft Mega.
It’s formulated to treat medium to coarse hair that desperately needs nourishment, and it has the capability to revive even the driest of manes. Cure dry hair in the convenience of your home, and you can thank me after!
I’ve been using the following 4 hair products consistently for the last few weeks! Before I jump into my personal experience, here’s information about each item.
- All Soft Mega Shampoo: this shampoo contains a bamf formula that softens and adds hydration to super dry hair. It helps prevent moisture loss and keeps your mane softer than a baby’s bum. It’s infused with a nourishing mix of sacha inchi extract, aloe vera gel, cactus extract, and Redken’s exclusive RCT Protein Complex to treat hair from the root to the core to the tip.
- All Soft Mega Conditioner: this product contains all the same powerhouse ingredients as the shampoo listed above.
- All Soft Mega Mega Mask: severely dry hair needs additional help to retain moisture and hydration. This dual formula combines the deep conditioning of a mask with the lasting benefits of a care extender. This product provides nourishment for mega soft hair that lasts through 3 washes. Use as a complete system with their shampoo & conditioner, and leave it in for 3-5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
- All Soft Mega Hydramelt: think of this baby as a moisturizing lotion that leaves hair hydrated but not weighted. The lightweight formula provides increased softness, manageability, control and shine. Apply it to clean towel-dried hair for best results!
Redken All Soft Mega Review
I can’t even begin to tell you guys how much I love my new shampoo and conditioner. Redken’s seriously killin’ the game with their All Soft Mega line. This baby lathers so well and smells like heaven.
My hair’s long so it gets tangled fairly easily, but thanks to this, I haven’t had issues in a solid week. You’ll seriously feel like you got a pro wash after using this on your mane! After rinsing, I apply a quarter-size amount of conditioner on the ends of my hair and leave it in for 5 minutes. It’s not a deep treatment, but it works like one.
FYI, I personally only wash my hair once every 2 days to prevent drying. I do, however, use their conditioner daily to keep my mane soft, shiny, and beautiful.
The Mega Mask is the ultimate deep conditioner – it’s definitely a must-try for those of you with super dry hair. It feels a little waxy, but you’ll be fine as long as you rinse everything out thoroughly. I feel like this will either be a hit or a miss with people because of the consistency. If you’re worried it’ll leave your hair greasy, use it at night, and if it’s not your cup of tea, you can always exchange it for something else.
Andddd last but not least, the Hydramelt Leave-in Treatment. This is seriously one of the BEST hair products I’ve ever used. I currently have waves from a perm I got a few months back, and I absolutely LOVE using this to scrunch my curls. It gives me beachy waves that look effortless…
…which I did not show below because I straightened my hair for today’s pics. I guess you’ll just have to try and see for yourself. Anywho, a little goes a long way so don’t go overboard, and style your hair however you please after application.
“Soooo, why exactly is my hair so dry? And is Redken really going to cure dry hair?”
Maybe it’s the weather. Maybe you’re over-washing your hair. Maybe you’re just messing with it too much (frequently dyeing, relaxing, etc.). Regardless of the cause, it’s important to remember that dry hair is NOT a type – it’s something that can be treated!
I recommend washing your hair once every 2-3 days and air dry your mane whenever possible to battle the issue. I straighten and curl my hair frequently (with heat protectant, of course), but I rarely blow dry it. Find hair products formulated for dry hair – like this Redken line, duh – and make sure you’re eating healthfully because you are what you eat!
