I hope you guys aren’t sick of this striped long shirt yet because I sure as hell am not. This piece was and continues to be one of my absolute favorites, and I wear it out all the time because I love it so much. This is the fourth time I’ve featured it on here, but it won’t be the last (#sorrynotsorry).
Although my striped long shirt’s an oldie, everything else is new so let’s start with some background. My olive tank was a recent purchase from Forever 21 – I found it in a clearance bin for $3 so I bought it pretty much on the spot. My slip-ons are from Nine West, and I purchased them while I was in Orlando for Blogher 2017. My mom actually got them before I did – she got sick of me constantly hijacking her shoes so she finally made me get a pair of my own, ha. Luckily, they were on sale for $30. I also wanted them in denim, but they were out of my size [insert sad face here]. Last but not least, Blank NYC sent me these adorable embroidered shorts to style.
I LOVE the idea of embroidered shorts, but they’re actually kind of difficult to wear. So, I took the easy way out and paired them with a matching tank – if you look closely at my bottoms, you can see that they’re red roses with green stems. I’m a fan of summer layering so I threw my striped long shirt on top to up my fashion game and accessorized with a dainty necklace and carried a faux-suede backpack (courtesy of Violet Ray) to finish things off.
Btw, I have good news for you guys! The fab gals at Violet Ray have generously offered to raffle away a Kendall mini so that’ll go live sometime next week. Definitely stay tuned because you’re gonna want to win this adorable bag, but if you can’t wait, you can purchase one online at Francesca’s – also available in black and blush.
