Hey friends! It’s been a minute since I last shared an outfit post with you guys on here. I’m really excited to tell you all about my latest find: a fabulous flared dress from Liquorish. I bought it for my SF trip a while back, and it’s still available for purchase online. It’s not a bargain find per se – I mean, $60’s pretty steep in my book – but it was originally $122 so I decided to feature it as such because of its sale price.
It’s something I wore for date night with Robby! As you know, we’re a long distance couple, and I wasn’t in town for his birthday [insert sad face here]. So, we decided to have a very belated celebratory dinner. We hit up one of our favorite restaurants in the Richmond for dim sum – for those of you interested, I blogged about Ton Kiang here a few months ago. Now that I’m vegetarian, dim sum wasn’t as fun, but I still enjoyed their veggie dumplings, scallion pancakes, and egg tarts.
I always get size 4 at ASOS, and although this dress ended up working for my body, I could definitely see it running small for some because the top’s tight. I’m not particularly well endowed so it wasn’t an issue for me, but if you have a big chest, I recommend getting it in two sizes: one that’s true to size and one sized up. Note: my dress looks bluer than it is due to the background, but it’s actually more of a purple-blue. Some of my favorite details include the high neck and flared sleeves! This is definitely a going out dress, but it’s classy so you can wear it to the more “conservative” events as well – think weddings, bridal showers, etc.
For this look, I skipped jewelry – I’ve been all about keeping things simple as of late – and accessorized with a fancy schmancy evening bag. My mom used to carry it during her Miss Korea days, but she doesn’t use wear it out anymore so I happily took it off her hands. I did want to up my style game though so I threw on bold shoes. These were a recent purchase from Zara, and I got them for $7.99 (!!!!!) I honestly still can’t get over it – it feels like a holiday every time I score a good deal!
