It’s been a minute since I last did a beauty post so here goes! Today I’m featuring 5 fab polishes from Londontown, a vegan and cruelty-free brand that will seriously impress. If you’re looking to up your nail game this summer, this post is an absolute must read.
At $16 a pop, these shades don’t come cheap, but you’re paying for quality so they’re well worth the splurge imo. My three favorite shades are Cheerio, Jane Austen and Chuffed to Bits (pictured from left to right above). Cheerio is a stunning neutral pink that’s subtle and feminine, Jan Austen is a light pink lavender that’s perfect for spring, and Chuffed to Bits is a periwinkle blue that’s playful and fun.
All three are “9-Free,” which means they don’t contain any of the following harmful ingredients: formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, TPHP, acetone, ethyl tosylaminde, xylene, DBP, toulene and camphor. I think these three are perfect for spring/summer, but if you’re not into these, no worries! They have a bunch of other colors available online so go and take a look.
Now, I’m going to break things down for you just in case you’re a mani newb. Start by clipping your nails and filing them down to your desired shape. You then want to soak your fingers in warm water so you can push back your cuticles with ease. After that, you want to buff them before applying their Gel Genius Base Coat ($20). Add a color polish before finishing your mani off with a swipe of their top coat ($20) – don’t skip this step because it’ll get you max bang for your buck.
This at-home routine should last for about a week, and your nails will look better than ever. The base coat will give you extended wear and shine – no UV light or soaking needed – and the top coat will give your nails an ultra-glossy finish that’s gel-like in nature.
Have any of you guys tried Londontown nail polishes? If yes, what did you think? If no, what’s your brand of choice? Let me know by leaving me a comment below, friends. For more on beauty, make sure to check out this tab!
