Looking to make a little extra money on the side? Well, if you no longer need or want certain electronics in your life (think smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches), consider selling them on the Trademore website. It’s reallllly easy to use, and their offers are very generous.
Here’s how you find the value of your device online. Simply click “sell your device,” and choose from the listed items. You can search by carrier, model series, brand or category. I’m trading in my mom’s old iPhone 7 so I’ll walk you through my experience step by step.
After selecting the model, they asked me four questions regarding the phone. What carrier I used, how much memory it had, what color it was, and what condition it was in. Easy peasy, right? After filling all the info out, their offer popped up at the very bottom.
Then they send you a “recovery kit” free of charge. You pack your phone into the pre-packaged box and mail it off for inspection. If you weren’t honest in your initial survey, they can reject the device or give you a counteroffer so make sure you give an accurate assessment before sending your stuffs in. Note: they don’t pay in cash so keep that in mind. They’ll either compensate you via PayPal or pay you in the form of a Mastercard® Gift Card.
For those of you interested, you can also purchase used devices on the Trademore website. They sell smartphones and smartwatches for a fraction of the price so get your browse on, like the iPhone X is available for $538, which is 46% off (!!!!). I actually damaged my phone pretty hardcore so I’m looking into possibly getting a new one. We’ll see! I’m definitely keeping my options open so I’ll update you once I make a decision.
So, what did you guys think of today’s post? Do you have any spare electronics lying around that you could sell? Do you have experience selling your stuff online? Let me know by leaving a comment below, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! Sending you lots of love from the DMV, friends.
