It’s been a minute since I last featured a dress under $25 so I’m thrilled to share today’s find with you guys. This adorable floral mini is an absolute must-have for summer, especially if you’re a fan of all things girly. It has a plunging neckline with a tie wrap closure up front so you get a fab cutout effect of sorts.
The ruffle sleeves are nothing short of adorable, and they’re on the longer side so they’re flattering. What I mean by that is they cover the biggest part of the biceps resulting in the illusion of slimmer arms. This periwinkle floral mini also has a smocked waistline, and the hemline’s ruffled which oozes feminine vibes!
All those features alone would add up to the cutest summer dress ever, but on top of that, the periwinkle color’s very pretty. Prefer a different shade? It’s also available in a pale pink, and you can click here to purchase. The only catch? This particular style’s not on sale so you’d have to pay the full $48 to get it.
I kept things simple by accessorizing with a fun crossbody for today’s OOTD. This bag’s a design from Valentino’s rockstud collection, and I purchased it a few years back at a heavily discounted price on Gilt. I thought the purple complemented the periwinkle nicely which is why I paired them together and then finished things off with a pair of neutral wedges.
Dressing this down would be extremely easy. It’d look great with flats or sneakers, and you could easily layer it with a cute jean jacket or a lightweight cardigan. It’s 90+ degrees in Maryland right now so it made sense for me to wear it by itself, but I’ll definitely be styling it with different kinds of outerwear once the temperature drops.
In terms of cons, again, Red Dress Boutique can do no wrong in my book, but the neckline is a little more on the scandalous side. It’s cut deep so if that’s not something you’re comfortable with, definitely pass on this. Otherwise I’m all for you guys getting this, especially since it’s so affordable.
So, I’m curious to hear what do you guys think of the design. Is it something you’d wear or not really your style? Let me know by leaving a comment below, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have. I’m always happy to hear from you guys so feel free to comment or reach out via DM, email, etc.
