Who’s excited for another dress review? For those of you wondering, I didn’t label today’s outfit as a find-of-the-day because it’s a little too pricy for that series. With that said, it’s still a really cute dress so if you’re looking for something that’s sexy yet casual at the same time, this may be the piece for you.
I’ve featured Red Dress Boutique on here a number of times, and I’m usually all about their clothing, but I’m torn about today’s look. Yes, the design is absolutely adorable, and I love everything from the ruffle detail to the high-low silhouette, but it has its flaws. Two in particular come to mind, and they have everything to do with the sleeves.
They don’t have much support so I find myself fidgeting with them way too often. They fall too far down so I low key worry that I’ll accidentally flash someone, and they make my upper arms look bigger than they are.
Other than that, I really love the print, color and style! It’s great for summer, and as long as you don’t mind using fashion tape, I say go for it. But for me, $64 is a lot of money to pay to not feel totally comfortable.
For those of you interested, this ruffle high-low dress is available for purchase here in 3 different colors: yellow, pink and blue. It’s made of 100% rayon, and it runs slightly small so if you’re in between sizes, you’ll want to size up.
For today’s outfit, I paired my dress with snakeskin sandals from Badgley Mischka and carried my rockstud Valentino crossbody for a pop of color. I typically play things “safe” with beige shoes because I enjoy simple, classic ensembles, but I wanted to mix up things up a bit so I accessorized with edgier pieces from my closet. What do you guys think about my latest getup? How would you style this dress? Let me know by leaving a comment below.
