Extra stoked to share today’s post with you guys because I’ve partnered up with Segura Viudas to recap their latest event in DC. I met up with my bestie + photographer extraordinaire Sung Shin, and we went together. Located on 1802 Jefferson Pl NW, Heist DC is a really cool club in Dupont. You’d probably walk right by – unless you knew it was there – because the entryway’s inconspicuous. Keep an eye out though because it’s cool AF inside. This was my first time there, but I’d definitely come back; the party they threw for Segura Viudas was awesomesauce.
They did SUCH an amazing job with the event – remember this sign b/c I’m going to tell you something extra cool about it later…

They had tons of nom hor d’oeuvres all night long…
Now, remember the green sign I mentioned above? The reason why I said it was cool because it was actually a herb wall (mint, cilantro and basil), AND THE BARTENDERS THERE MADE YOU A DRINK WITH THE HERB YOU PICKED OFF THE WALL. Isn’t that fun? I wanted to try all three, but I needed to drive back home so I went easy. Always be responsible, guys! Have a DD or call an uber – never EVER drive under the influence.
Anywho, I got mint for me and cilantro for Sung! The mint cocktail was called the Cava Sunset, and it was spectacular. Blackberry shrub, lemon wheel, sprigs of mint, topped with Segura Viudas Brut? Oh helllll yas. The cilantro drink (aka Segura Viudas Swizzle) wasn’t really my jam, but that’s because I’m not a huge fan of tequila. That was made with watermelon juice, lime, simple syrup, hellfire bitters, cilantro and more Brut! Andddd last but not least, the Segura Viudas 75 contained Bombay, lemon, cinnamon reduction, Aperol, muddled strawberries, basil and Segura Viudas Rosé. I want to get the ingredients for the 75 and make it for myself at home because I feel jipped that I didn’t get to try it there. Oh, and I definitely need to re-create the Cava Sunset at home because that shiz was tasty AF!
What can I say? I’m a sucker for herbs in dranks…
I seriously cannot get enough of Segura Viudas Brut and Rosé – their sparkling wine is seriously the best. Have any of you guys tried?
I couldn’t leave without taking a shot with the balloon wall! Hey, I gotta do it for the ‘gram =P
A huge thanks to Segura Viudas for sponsoring this post + showing me an amazing time, and to Sung Shin for the fab photos! If you want to keep up with me, check out my life tab to stay in the know <3 ’til next time, friends!
This event seems so fun! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
