I’m over the moon excited to tell you guys about Trades of Hope today! They sell everything from jewelry to home decor, and their pieces are ethically produced by women overcoming hardships all over the globe. They seek to empower them out of poverty through sustainable business, and all of their products are Fair Trade Federation certified.
Trades of Hope partners with artisan groups in 16 countries around the world. They connect them with a marketplace here in the US where their beautiful products can be sold. Through their company, their articles are able to escape sexual exploitation, provide for their families, and much more.
They make 3-6 times more than they normally would in their country, and their worker groups are putting in wells, creating schools, providing hot meals and free child care for their artists. By shopping their collection, not only do you look amazing, you’re being a good human being and giving back to the world so it’s a win-win in every which way.
I recently got three pairs of earrings through compassionate entrepreneur Ruth Burk, and I can’t get enough of them. I’m wearing the Athenas today, and I think they’re absolutely gorgeous. They were handmade in India, and they’re made of copper.
Unfortunately, this style’s no longer available on their site, but you can browse other gorgeous options here. I’m especially loving their Moonstone Hoops, their Fanfare Earrings, their Linked Earrings, and their Endless Earrings. Whether you’re running errands or dressing up for date night, these baubles will elevate your look tenfold.
With a background in Law & International Relations, Ruth was looking for a way she could utilize her education to make more of a global impact on the world around her. She began doing research and came across TOH. Through her business as a Compassionate Entrepreneur, she’s able to weave business, fashion, gratitude and empowerment together into a wonderful lifestyle.
