Man, I can’t even begin to tell you guys how much I loved staying at Signiel. It was honestly THE nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and that’s saying a lot because I’ve been to some swanky ass places. Located in Jamshil, Signiel’s the epitome of luxury. It’s on the 76-101st floors of the Lotte World Tower – the 5th tallest building in the world – so the view was second to none.
Signiel has 4 different restaurants/bars in their hotel, and two are Michelin-starred. I only dined at Bicena, but I’m definitely planning on going back to try Stay the next time I’m in Jamshil. There’s also Bar 81, a premium champagne bar, and The Lounge, a classy cafe and pastry salon located next to the lobby.
Hotel guests get full access to a different lounge with free food & drinks so make sure you take full advantage if you stay there. From 7am-10am, they have a beautiful breakfast spread with yogurts, cereals, pastries, fresh squeezed juices and sandwiches. Lunch snacks are available from 2-4PM (with noms like smoked salmon sammies), and they have a happy hour with champagne and sparkling wine every day from 5-8PM.
The drink fridge had a lot of options – think juices, sodas, and sparkling waters – and you could get coffee and/or tea all day long. The space itself was beautiful, and it was always impeccably clean. There weren’t too many people there during our stay so the lounge was nice and quiet for the most part. My mom and I snagged seats by the window almost every time which was nice.
FYI, those were all shots of the lounge! The following pics are what the lobby looked like. Our cab dropped us off on the 1st floor, and we had to head to the 76th floor to check in. The elevators here were ridiculously fast, like they took us from 1 to 76 in 2o seconds flat. It actually made me a little dizzy the first time, and I had to swallow hard to pop my ears, lol.
Everyone was super friendly, and they made check in a breeze. We got in around 3, and I was starving so they let us munch on snacks in the lounge while they got all our info logged into their system. I lucked out and got a room on the 101st floor so I was pretty stoked.
I loved the interior of my room SO much! It was contemporary minimalist, and it had a panoramic view of the city. I can’t even begin to tell you guys how breathtaking it was. I spent so much time sipping tea in my arm chair just taking it all in. As beautiful as it was during the day, nighttime was that much more spectacular.
Korea’s known for its high rise buildings, but everything looked miniature from my room. The lights were mesmerizing, and I definitely did a lot of soul searching while looking out. It’s pricey to stay here, but it’s 100% worth the money if you can afford it. If it’s out of your budget, at least come for a drink in the PM. It’ll probably be expensive, but it’ll be worth every cent.
My pics don’t do it justice, but words can’t even begin to express how legit this bathroom was, like it was bigger than my room. Signiel has Diptyque bath amenities so you legit feel like you’re in a spa, and they have tub with a view so that’s a definite plus. And it had this crazy smart toilet that opened and closed whenever I walked by. It also had a heated seat, and it was just INSANE!
Their internet was super fast, and the bed was obscenely comfortable. Each room had a capsule coffee and tea maker + minibar, and I loved that they had dual voltage outlets. I only brought two converters with me so charging my gear has been a pain. You don’t have to worry about anything if you stay here though.
Moving on, after checking in they brought me welcome tea, and it was such a nice gesture! They definitely know how to make you feel at home here. This was their “Royal Tea” by Yannick Allèno, a 3-starred Michelin chef + Signiel’s own cookies (jaju hallabong + matcha flavored). It was the perfect way to kick off my stay!
I was here for 4 days so I used their gym as well. They had trainers on hand and a fancy schmancy machine that analyzed your muscle mass, BMI, and all that good stuff…or not so good stuff, lol. I discovered – ok I already knew but whatever – that I need to work out WAY more so that’s definitely going to be a priority moving forward now that I’m done with school.
On top of a state-of-the-art gym, they also had a beautiful indoor swimming pool, sauna, and a world-class spa for all your pampering needs. Alright guys, that’s it for today! I hope you enjoyed reading all about Signiel.
Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about the hotel, and make sure to check out my Bicena review on Nomtastic Foods. I also blogged about flying first class to Asia so click if you missed it, and keep an eye out for more travel content! Sending you all the love.
