Ok guys, for some reason it’s FREEZING out, but we’re still gonna talk about springy clothing because I’m an optimist like that. Maybe if we TALK about spring, it’ll hear us and warm weather will magically happen (!!!!) In all seriousness though, it was like 70 degrees a few days ago, and now I’m wearing my winter coat again. Not cool, but you know what is? My lacy mini dress [insert giant grin here]. Aren’t my transitions hella smooth? Ha.
I bought it last year on ASOS, and it’s still one of my absolute favorites. I first wore it on here with a fab gold and black jacket from Rachel Zoe – clicky here if you missed it! Unfortunately, this baby’s no longer available online, but I linked other stylish orange mini dresses for you guys below so remember to get your scroll on.
For today’s OOTD, I styled my dress with a fashionable blazer courtesy of Chicwish. I feel like the design’s unique due to the sleeves – the cuffs are split, which you’ll either love or hate. IMHO, they look best folded back! The shoulders are padded, and it comes with a sash. I’m usually all about highlighting the small of my waist, but I wasn’t a fan of this particular belt so I went without it. For those of you interested, this is currently available online for $52. As you can see, my dress is pretty low-cut. I like plunging necklines for formal occasions, but I’m not big into baring that much during the day – that’s just my personal preference though. So, I wore a lacy black bralette underneath to keep things a bit more modest. My chest area still looked a bit bare so I accessorized with my current go-to necklace from Charming Charlie. They’re def. one of my favorite stores for jewelry, along with JWholesale and their sister brand, Full Line Collection. To finish things off, I carried my YSL crossbody and threw on lace-up heels to match.
