I’m really excited to tell you guys about the newest additions to my wardrobe. If you’re a fan of pretty pastel clothing, you’re absolutely going to love my latest finds. Both my top and skirt are from ASOS – they weren’t bargain buys, but I purchased them anyway because I found them to be extremely versatile. I’m all about mixing and matching so cute separates are an absolute must. Although the aforementioned pieces didn’t come cheap, they weren’t crazy expensive either. The top was $40, and the skirt was $44.
The shirt’s made of a lightweight woven fabric (100% polyester but feels like chiffon) and features a tie front. The frill sleeves are ridiculously adorable and they ooze femininity. As you can see, the fit’s on the looser side so you have the option to pair it with something a bit more form-fitting.
The skirt’s all sorts of goddess-y with its cascading ruffles! The waistband’s stretchy so it’s beyond comfortable, and it features a high-rise design that visually elongates one’s body, which is always a plus. I personally didn’t mind spending $44 on this number because I knew I’d get a ton of wear out of it both casually AND formally (think matinee performances). How would you guys style this skirt? Note: it’s definitely on the longer side so you may have to get it hemmed, but that obviously depends on your height. How do you guys feel about pretty pastel clothing – is it a do or a don’t? And how would you style this fabulous skirt?
