Man, its been a crazy week! If you follow me on instagram, you already know I spent the last few days in Georgia, first at Chateau Elan then Atlanta. I had a blast exploring with my mom, but I’m a little tired to be honest. Did I mention that I’m writing this at the airport while waiting for my next flight? Ohhhh the jetsetter life, I can’t get enough of it! I’ve been hustling and following my dreams, but blogging’s a lot harder than y’all probably think. More on that later though.
I’ve been trying my best to stay in shape on the road, but it’s been tough. As you know, I’m also a food blogger – my second blog’s called Nomtastic Foods – so I literally eat for a living, which is awesome in theory but uber fattening as you can imagine. Therefore, I try to eat as clean as possible when I’m not covering a restaurant – that means lots of greens, lean meats, and fatty nuts like pistachios.
My go-to brand is Wonderful Pistachios, and I’m really excited to tell you guys about them today for two reasons. One, they’re absolutely delicious (duh) and two, they’re donating $.10/unit to Toys for Tots for each bag of Wonderful Pistachios Roasted & Salted and Wonderful Pistachios Roasted No Salt sold at Walmart this holiday season.
This organization is run by the US Marine Corps, and they’ve been at it for 72 years. Their goal is to bring hope and happiness to disadvantaged children during the holiday season, and last year they reached over 7 million kids. Help them and yourself by heading to Walmart and purchasing Wonderful Pistachios.
Walmart’s giving up to $100k, and the collection period runs from November 1-December 24 so run, don’t walk. They’re delish snacks that will do your body good. They’re dry roasted with no added oil, and they’re also non-GMO verified, gluten-free, kosher certified, halal certified, vegan, and blessed by Dumbledore.
Why wait until the new year to become the best version of yourself? Start now. Eat clean and help others while doing so. Alright friends, I hope you enjoyed reading my latest. I was especially excited to share because I’ve been giving back via Toys for Tots for years now. I also donate to my local animal shelter! Are you passionate about any charitable causes? Let me know by leaving a comment below. Until next time, friends! I have a ton of content coming your way so you definitely need to check back soon. Sending lots of love from the DMV!
